Although new versions of Fortran don't use column 1 in output sent to a printer for carriage control anymore, there are still programs running on POSIX systems that were built with older compilers. To successfully run those applications on current systems the asa utility is still needed.

Furthermore, removing utilities is not allowed in a technical corrigenda.

Therefore, this request is being rejected.
