| Description | The description of the trap special built-in utility states: "The trap command with no arguments shall write to standard output a list of commands associated with each condition." The use of "arguments" here is wrong, because trap is required to recognise "--" as a first argument to be discarded (in accordance with 1.11 Utility Description Defaults). It means the behaviour of the command "trap --" is currently unspecified, but it should be equivalent to just "trap". | ||||

The interpretation response in 0000268:0000443 is intentionally different from the one in xcubug2.txt, which said "The standard states the requirements for trap with no arguments ..." The issue is what the standard requires for "trap --", not for trap with no arguments. |
