Summary |
0001256: Mismatch with C99 over number of external symbols |
Description |
The c99 extended description says "The compiler and link editor shall
support a minimum of 511 external symbols per source or object file,
and a minimum of 4095 external symbols in total."
This doesn't match C99 which says in 5.2.4.1 Translation limits that
the minimum is simply "4095 external identifiers in one translation unit". |
Desired Action |
On page 2546 line 82410 section c99, change:The compiler and link editor shall support a minimum of 511 external symbols per source or object file, and a minimum of 4095 external symbols in total. to:The compiler and link editor shall support a minimum of 4095 external identifiers in one translation unit. |
